How long should I cook my carrot cake??!

Question: I found a recipe for a homemade carrot cake that says to bake for 45 mins at 350 degrees in a 9x13 pan.

I would like to make the cake in two 8 inch round pans instead. Do you think I would bake it for a lot less time?

Also, is homemade cream cheese icing good, or the stuff in the tub better?

THANK YOU!!! HAPPY SATURDAY!

30-35 minutes and the homemade is SO much better

30 to 35 min.....check with a toothpick after 30.

Preheat oven to 325 to 350 degrees.

Bake in preheated oven until cake tester or toothpick inserted in center is nearly clean when removed, approximately 25 to 35 minutes check after 25.

do tooth pick test you never want this particular cake too dry!

I hope this is helpful
Good Luck

Always follow the recipe, but remember to under cook everything you bake by five minutes, just to be on thesafe side.......you can always pop it back in, but you can't un bake it once it's baked. this answer comes from my husband...not me.
