I need an easy and fast recipe for homemade B-B-Q sauce!?!

Question: I am cooking ribs and don't have any sauce.

Answers: I am cooking ribs and don't have any sauce.

BBQ sauce is easy you just need a sugar, an, acid, a thickener and a spice.

I often just use, ketchup or tomato sauce, any jam or jelly I have on hand, and some wine and vinegar for acid. Just keep tasting til it tastes good. Add chilis too if you like it spicy.

1 c. molasses
1 c. prepared mustard
1 c. vinegar

Combine molasses and mustard; mix thoroughly. Mix in vinegar. Cover and refrigerate. Yield: 3 cups sauce.

Use this as a base. Add 1 cup ketchup or tomato sauce if you like tomato based sauce.

Mix up ingredients, honey, maple syrup, even grape jelly instead of molasses.

I like apricot jam though.....
