Question: for our wedding reception... i'm looking for a recipe that will serve 100-120

potatoes au gratin or a cheesy scalloped potato recipe. i'm not finding any i really like online.

Potatoes Au Gratin

potatoes (yukon or red)- peeled and cut into 1/8th inch slices
butter
onion- thinly sliced
salt
pepper
heavy cream
cheese- gouda or asiago- grated

Preheat oven to 375
-generously grease a baking dish with butter
-arrange a layer of potatoes, so the slices are just overlapping
-dot each layer with butter, sprinkle with salt & pepper, some onion and cheese
-repeat layering- ending with a top layer of butter, cheese, salt & pepper
-pour a little heavy cream over all
-cover with aluminium foil and bake for 35-45 minutes
-uncover and increase temp to 400 and bake until bubbly and top is golden brown- approx 10 minutes
-after removing from oven let rest for 10 - 15 minutes then cut and serve

Au Gratin Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:
10 potatoes, peeled & sliced thin
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
3 cups Velveeta, cubed

Directions:

To help lower fat content use 1% milk & "light Velveeta"

Place potatoes in greased cake pan Season with salt & pepper Make white sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour until smooth Add milk Bring to gentle boil then add cheese Stir until cheese has melted Cover potatoes with cheese mixture Oven 375 Bake covered 45 min Uncover for an additional 15 min.

*The round Parisian potatoes would be very nice on the plate with the rest of the meal, any meal.Carrots would give your plate colour and could be cooked at the same time and the same way.They would be easy if just roasted in large aluminium pans in the oven. Season with salt &pepper and garlic and onion powder. Make sure they brown a little.
*You might want baked potatoes, also easy just bake in oven, corralled in a foil pan. Wrap your potatoes each in foil and bake. Serve with meal and have butter and sour cream at each table to use with the potatoes.
*Scalloped potatoes, great tasting and here is a recipe, a little more work initially.
Multitudes of potatoes pared and thinly sliced
Salt & pepper
Butter
milk
Use your aluminium pans, arrange potatoes in layers
sprinkle each layer with seasonings and dot with butter
Pour milk over potatoes and bake in oven until done
(If desired grated yellow cheese may be sprinkled on potatoe layers.)
