Yorkshire Puddings - usual problem?!

Question: Do you, like me and many I know, think, "mmmmmm yes!, lets have some yorkie puds with the Sunday roast!" ( as we love love love them!)

Then later on (when the foods almost all eaten...say, "ah! the yorkie puds!" - dash to oven and find them all burnt!

Why oh why does this always happen?

I can cook well....but yorkie's....useless!!
I buy them frozen, but normally always forget to cook them!

Set an egg timer or alarm clock for time required to take yorkies from oven.
They will never burn again

all mixes are basically the same so i'll just say this, gas mark 7, top of the oven, about 8 mins should do it.

I dont burn yourkshires, its about the only thing i don't burn :P also, you may be putting too much fat into the tray, or leaving the fat in the tray too long, that way the fat burns before you put the mix in, and the burnt fat stays on top, and makes it SEEM like the yorkies are burnt.
