Still looking for this recipe, can you help??!

Question: I am NOT looking for pineapple upside down cake, this has cake mix, cherries, crushed pineapples, very rich dessert, I got it from a southern recipe book years ago and cant find it now. Cake mix is on the bottom of pan flattened??

Sorry - I must have missed this post! I have made this for years ... it is called "Dump Cake".

That sounds like a "Dump" cake, and I think my mom uses a chocolate cake mix with it, but I've seen it with yellow. I don't have a recipe, sorry but try looking up "Dump" cake.
