Gluten free oatmeal breakfast bars?!


Question: Hi i am making breakfast oatmeal bars that are gluten free for my autistic 2 yr old daughter.I was wondering if i make a big batch of them can i freeze them?

the bars will freeze beautifully. just wrap carefully, and you will have a great store of delicious treats for your daughter.

as for the answer from colleenl. she has no idea what she is talking about! as i'm sure you know, oats have no gluten, and thus are safe for a gluten-free diet.

Yes, they are perfect for freezing. Just wrap them very tightly, such as with plastic wrap, rather than simply putting them in a zip bag, since this will do a better job of helping to prevent freezer burn.

There isn't any such think as gluten free oatmeal bars....
Oatmeal is a gluten food item....
