How long is too long for frozen turkey bacon and frozen ground turkey?!

Question: I bought and froze turkey bacon and ground turkey back in Sept, so about 5 months ago. I froze it as soon as I brought it home. Is it still safe to eat? If so, how much longer can I keep it without it going bad? Thanks.

5 months is a long time and both items are fairly inexpensive to replace. Even if they still are safe to eat, the flavor won't be that great after 5 months of freezer burn.

well this is probaly the limit
eat it now just make sure ucook it through

When I worked in restaurants, we kept the turkey burgers frozen until we used them. Sometimes it was a couple of months.

Personally, I would throw it out...though. Never too safe.

I would say about 6 months, would be the longest I would keep frozen turkey.

Nothing should be kept in a freezer longer than 6 months. It's still safe to eat but the quality really goes down after about 2 months of freezing and at 6 months it usually had freezer burn on it and a nasty "old freezer flavor". Different foods have different freezer life. Even if it is out dated you are usually ok if it has been continously frozen since before the date marked on the package. I try very hard never to keep anything in the freezer longer than 2 months myself. there's no reason to stock pile so much food for such a long period of time.
