Where do you find cake flour?!

Question: I have a recipe for this cake I am making for my best friend's birthday.
It calls for cake flour but I have no idea where to find cake flour.
I think it may be in Wal-Mart but Wal-Mart seems to have a limited variety of foods. Can anyone confirm to me if they have it before I make a trip down there? And if they don't have it, then where can I go to purchase some?

(I do not want to use substitutions)

I have never seen cake flour in WalMart, but almost all full service grocery stores carry it, and you are right not to substitute. Although it is and can be done, best results are from cake flour.

Cake flour is sold at most grocery stores right beside the all purpose and bread flours. I also like to use a brand of flour called "white lilly" as a cake flour. Make sure you don't buy the self rising variety.

Check out the "Baking" section of any regular grocery store. Walmart does not carry cake flour unless it's a SuperWalmart.

It will be in a box, not a normal flour sack.

You will find Swan's Down Cake Flour in the baking section of well stocked supermarkets......It's really DOES make a difference in the texture of the finished product.......might be a bit more expensive, but well worth it in the end result...Enjoy!!

u can find it at most supermarkets but if you can find it there you might want to check a health foods store

its all purpose flour,i do alot of cooking.

Most supermarkets have it - Swans Down is the brand name - it is in a red box near the other flour, sugar, etc. It does make a difference.

Walmart does sell cake flour. It is actually in a box on the top shelf above all the other flours.

All supermarkets have cake flour. Go to the baking section. It should be there with yeast, baking powder, baking chocolates, etc.

Cake flour can be found in any large grocery store, ( not like a 7-11 or something ). It is in the baking isle with the regular flour.
