Salmon Patties : Do you make yours with the egg mixed in with the salmon?!

Question: OR ....after you make the salmon patties....dip them in egg, then coat them with cracker crumbs?

I mix it all together, then fry them. My son-in-law says...make patties, dip in egg then coat in cracker crumbs, then fry.

If you make them the way my son-in-law does....please share your method / reciepe.
Thank You!

How is the salmon going to hold together without egg or some other binding ingredient?
I use egg also to bind together. Then crush Wheaties(in food processer) and add, with seasonings, to a plastic bag.
Dip the patties in egg and then drop into plastic bag to coat. Then I bake in the oven until crispy golden brown.

Mix it all together, I do the same. You can do it the other way if you want to take the time.

salmon, eggs, crackers, onion, salt and pepper to taste. Mix together in large bowl. Make patties and fry in oil.

I mix my egg in with all the other ingredients then fry...I'm with you!

I add the egg with the salmon and mashed potato mixture and parsley and chives.

I mix mine with eggs which keeps them moist and I mix a little milk with eggs to dip in crumbs for a crispier taste.

I use the egg to hold the other ingredients together!

mix the egg right in with all ingredients and them form patties

I mix crushed saltines, egg, salt and pepper together and then fry. My husband eats them with syrup. I thought he was crazy.....I tried it and it was pretty good.

I make mine with the egg in the mixture, just like my mother taught me years ago....I saw Paula Dean make it the way your son-in-law described....she used egg in the mixture too, and also dipped the patty into a beaten egg....I really don't see the difference myself...mine still come out good every time!

I DO IT YOUR WAY AND WILL DO THAT THIS WEEKEND I HOPE.''

I use canned salmon mixed with spinach and spices in a food processor. Make paddies and cook them on a cast iron pan with grill lines. Then serve them with brown rice and stewed tomato's. MmmmGood.

mix the egg & the crackers in the mix before you cook
