I put it on rice cakes and also use it as a dip. You can eat it as often as you like. But beware of the gas...it is made from chick peas. And chick peas are very good for you! And so is the garlic.
You can eat it with pita chips or vegetables use it as a filling for wraps, etc.
It's good for you but if you use a lot of oil to make it then it is a tad on the fattening side. I guess you can eat it as much as you want... provided you make it low in fat by substituting some of the oil for water.
It can be put on tons of stuff. I usually eat it with pita bread torn up, or veggies. You can eat it as often as you like. A container usually just lasts a day or two for me until it is eaten. It is pretty healthy made with chickpeas. You can make it yourself to control the sodium, etc.
1. Drizzle some olive oil onto it and thats just about all you need. Black olives and vegetable sticks are also yummy. Pita bread or flat bread will go very well with it. Normal toast is also fine if you dont have the other kinds.
2. You can eat it often, because it is very healthy and high in protein. But even too much of a good thing can be bad, so i suggest that if you really love it, have it max. 4 times a week.

the restaraunt I work at makes a sandwich with it, Hummus, tomato and lettuce ona sourdough baggette. yummy. We also make appetizers with it, We stuff cherry tomatoes with hummus. Big hit.
