They are safe. Just because all of the batter doesn't set, it doesn't mean the bacteria aren't dead. If Chocolate Lava could kill, I would be long since dead.

They are delicious and they are perfectly safe. If you are at all unsure, don't give them to kids or to someone whose immune system isn't up to par, but they really are fine.

I thinks it's okay as long as you are in the good condition, cause it's yummy

Perhaps I am wrong - but I thought the "lava" center was a separate ingredient from the cake / souffle????
