a rice and/or veggie dish to compliment it. maybe rice pilaf or steamed veggies?

I did not know fish would get you high. Do you smoke in a bong or little fish joints?

All depending, what fish is it? Need more info. Otherwise just go for the classic new potatoes and butter with lots of parsley

I had this at a lovely pub/restaurant in Melrose, Scotland called Burts and although I can't give you the recipe, hopefull yyou'll be able to make it up as you go.

Welsh Rarebit, but with smoked fish instead of ham with cheese sauce as well as melted cheese.

It was OMG good!

Scalloped potatoes

Steamed vegetables , rice-a-roni, or French fries ( the old fish n chips)

Parsleyed potatoes, crisp green salad drizzled with lemon juice, olive oil and toasted walnuts, very cold white wine (a Liebfraumilch would hold up to the strong flavor of the fish), and for dessert: fresh fruit topped with liqueur-spiked whipped cream...Amaretto or Courvoisier would be a good choice. Serve dessert with coffee and tea...spiked or not. YUM!

make it with a rue with onion and garlic and chives in it on a bed of jasmine rice

Depends on the type of fish if it is salmon have a dill and lime cream fresh dressing with a nice rouge salad (Red Toms Peppers radishio belgium endive. and some nice boied and them sauted in garlic butter charlotte potatoes BON APETIT

Roasted red potatoes, onion, Bell pepper, olive oil, spices.

steamed Asparagus Spears with Hollandaise sauce.

Some nice boiled potatoes with butter melted over and spinach with garlic and cream cheese.......yum

Make Kedgeree!

Ingredients
50g/2oz butter
3 spring onions, chopped
2 tsp curry powder
150g/5?oz rice
125g/5oz smoked haddock, cut into cubes
100ml/3fl oz cream
150ml/? pint chicken stock
handful of fresh parsley, chopped



Method
1. Preheat a large saucepan.
2. Melt the butter in the saucepan and add the spring onion. Fry until soft.
3. Add the curry powder and the rice and stir well.
4. Add the chicken stock and bring the rice to the boil. Cook for five minutes.
5. Just before taking the rice off the boil, add the haddock, cream and parsley.
6. Serve while hot.

Mashed potatoes, steamed spinach and some gravy

Soup as a starter (Chicken or Ministrone) German Potato Salad with the Smoked Fish. Fruit Jelly as dessert or fresh Fruit Salad...........

A Cadbury's cream egg and chips!

Kedgerie. Boiled rice, hard boiled egg, smoked fish (preferably haddock) and plain white sauce. MMmmmm!

**edit** blow the diet out the window for the day. LOL

Or drop the egg, and make the sauce with semi/skimmed milk.

Boiled buttered potatoes and green vegetables, peas, beans, asparagus, broccoli whatever you have in. Or you could serve with salad and crusty bread.
