How do I make queso dip? Like at a Mexican Restaurant.?!


Question: We use Velveeta Mexican cheese, ground beef, and a can of spicy Ro-tel tomato's. In a small crock pot add your cheese browned and seasoned beef add can of tomato's, with a little milk, and cook on low until cheese is melted. Then Serve.

Since u asked "like at a mexican restaurant".. the ingredients of this are also of a similar measure... this makes 4 cups of the dip !!
I don't know which queso dip u were looking for, but this is CHILE CON QUESO

Ingredients:
2 (7 oz.) cans whole green chiles
1 large onion
1 ripe tomato
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
6 tablespoons tomato sauce
2 cloves garlic
2 lb. Velveeta cheese

Directions:
Seed and chop chiles. Chop onion and tomato coarsely. Saute chiles, onion and tomato in the oil in large deep skillet until onion is transparent. Stir in salt, Tabasco and tomato. Peel and mash garlic; mince finely, add to mixture in skillet. Cut cheese in cubes; add gradually to skillet, stirring until cheese is melted and mixture comes to boil. Serve hot with corn chips and celery sticks.

QUICK CHILI CON QUESO

1 lb. Velveeta, melted
1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes with green chiles, drained and chopped
6 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

Combine the above ingredients and serve warm with corn chips.

CHILI CON QUESO

1/2 lb. block Velveeta cheese
Thick `n chunky salsa (mild, med., hot - your choice)
2 cans Campbell's Cheddar cheese soup

Melt Velveeta in large saucepan. Add soup; stir well. Add salsa, stir until blended. Serve with nacho or tortilla chips. sdr

look in the store for the mexican cheeses, some will say they are for melting and they are white.
you can add diced jalepeno, green chiles, rotel
