Microwaving your spud instead of baking it depletes vital nutrients.?!

Question: Is there proof that this is true?

Answers: Is there proof that this is true?

Heat's heat, and whatever source of heat you use, the internal temperature of the potato will not exceed the boiling point of water until all the internal water is driven off, at which point the potato would probably be inedible. You might lose small amounts of nutrients from the skin, but that might be more of a problen for the baked potato because the skin is more likely to attain a high temperature and dry out. Also, one could argue that the microwaved potato, being exposed to heat for a much shorter time, will have more nutrients than the baked one because of the reduced duration of heat exposure.

Ain't physics wonderful?

prob,as it is radiation that heats the food, and kills healthy cells.

microwaves are not good!

i heard this same question. i have heard there have been studies about this matter and it is proved that it has no effect on it. it is really the same but it may take longer to cook properly in order to make sure it is sanitary.

..... and not to mention, it does taste as good as baking it. I mean it passes ..... I've done it; but no where as good
