How do you get chile peppers off of your hands?!

Question: I was chopping up hot peppers tonight and now when I touch my mouth or eyes it really burns! Is there anything I can use to get all the residue off? Maybe lemon juice? Anybody know a good solution? Thanks.

Rub your hands with salt and rinse.

I heard that you dip them in a weak bleach solution.

Don't touch your mouth or eyes.

Commit the cleaner

or softscrub

I've heard u soak them in milk...neutralizes the enzyme in the peppers that are burning u...hope this helps

After learning the hard way, I've used one or both of these. As soon as I'm done chopping the peppers I run my hands under cold tap water for a few seconds then wash with soap and water. Sometimes that alone does the trick. Otherwise I do the lemon thing. Use 1/2 lemon. Squeeze juice out and set aside for when you need lemon juice. Using the 1/2 that you got the juice from, rub lemon all over both hands. Rinse under luke warm water and pat dry. Leaves hands smelling nice and they are very soft.
Hope one of these works for you. Good Luck.
