'Parmesan encrusted pine nuts'?!
But I recently had a fabulous dinner at The Melting Pot, and as my salad choice I had a caesar salad (which was the best I've ever had)
I was surprised to find nuts in the salad, sort of a sweet sugary taste. When I asked the waiter what they were he told me they were parmesan encrusted pine nuts.
I want to serve this salad at home.
Where can I buy, or how can I fix these very same nuts?
Answers: This question will be out of the ordinary.

Well as a former chef you can buy pinenuts in most health food or bulk food store, they are very nice and have slight piney taste, I have never seen them coated with a sugary glaze and parmesan cheese, so I would imagine the restaurant made them.
Pinenuts are very perishable and need to be refrigerated, to make them that way what you would need to do it partial carmelize some white sugar, add the pinenuts and stirred in, then placed in a bowl and while still hot add some cheese, and toss, as they cool the sugary coating and cheese will set, make small amounts if you cannot find pinenuts use slivered almonds or even walnut halves.
i couldn't find any recipes like that, but here is my suggestion..
toast raw pine nuts in a few tablespoons of butter on top of the stove in a heavy skillet, stirring often until they turn golden. then in a brown bag, put about a cup of freshly grated parm cheese, and add buttered and toasted pine nuts, shake well... lay onto paper towels to drain a bit..
hope this helps!!
Parmesan-crusted pine nuts would not have a "sweet sugary taste." They would be salty and pungeunt.
Did you get the walnut salad w/ the raspberry dressing? If so, those are candied walnuts. The dressing is Ken's Steakhouse Lite Raspberry Vinaigrette.
Candied Walnuts
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 c. walnut halves & pieces
Bring sugar and water to a boil over high heat in large saucepan. Boil 1 min. stir in vanilla and walnuts; stir until coating sets. spread on cookie sheet and cool
