Ellen DeGeneres had them on her show last week in a gadget segment. She couldn't get them to work.

Personally, I've just stopped peeling potatoes. We like the skins, even in mashed potatoes, so I just scrub them clean. If I did want them without the peels, though, you can cook them in the jackets and then put them through a food mill or ricer.

Still...I don't recall that it took that long to peel potatoes with a paring knife.

Yes my aunt used them over the holidays she said for the most part they worked but if you want to try them buy them then if they don't work send them back. They have a 30-day guarantee.

No I haven't, but they look interesting. I hate peeling spuds, it so tedious. You can do the same thing with a potato that has been boiled with a clean kitchen towel. Just take the boiled ( to doneness ) potato and wrap in the towel and rub off the skin

I saw Ellen DeGeneres Use them on TV..Didn't seem to work too well for her..

Yes, they do work but it takes a while to clean them. I used them for a while but ended up going back to a normal peeler. If you need to peel 20 potatoes, the gloves might be more efficient but for just a couple, stick with the normal peeler.

often wondered myself nice question! thank you

Why on earth would anyone want to peel a potato.?

I heard they don't work unless the potato is par boiled and soft. looked to good to be true!!
