Dough
1 C. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast or 2 tsp.
1 tsp. sugar
3 C. White (or wheat) flour
2 T. oil (preferably olive)
1 tsp. salt

In a bowl mix the yeast, sugar, and water, stirring to dissolve the yeast. Let it rest 5 minutes. Add the other ingredients. Knead the dough on a floured board, adding more flour until it's not sticky. Place in a bowl and cover, leting it rise from five minutes to two hours, depending on the texture you would like. The longer you let it rise, the more bread-like the dough will become. Punch down the dough and shape into large pizza crust.
Dough variations: Mix herbs into the dough. Add 1 T. oregano or dill and 1 tsp. garlic powder.

Topping: top with any of these combinations and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
1. For vegetarian: tomatoes, artichoke hearts, olives, onions and bell peppers.
2. Brush with olive oil, then sprinkle with basil and oregano.
3. Sprinkle with diced chicken, herbs and mozzarella cheese.
4. Spread pesto over the crust, then layer thinly sliced zucchini and tomatoes. Sprinkle with basil, salt, and pepper.
