How many is a bakers dozen?!

Question: 13-1 to taste

Answers: 13-1 to taste

13

13

The answer to that is thirteen. They do that sometimes to entice you into coming back again. One free baked good might mean a lot more sales for them.

13

The actual bakers dozen is 13 (a dozen plus one to taste). But it depends. I would say my bakers dozen is 14. I am the baker...So I choose!:)

A bakers dozen is thirteen. It is thirteen because He sells twelve and tastes one. Its a quality control thing.

thirteeen!

13, THOSE BAKERS ARE TRYING TO MAKE US FAT!!

a bakers dozen is 13.one extra so you will shop with us again

13 it is like in the olden days the baker would throw in one extra to get you to know you were getting something extra and hopefully you would come back again

13

Its 13.

Its because in the "olden days" bakers used to get fined for selling underweight baked goods. so they used to put in a extra one, to make sure it was ok. the 13th was smaller than the other 12.

hope this helps

13

13 so thier was no agrument that they were undersized.

13 The reason is that a good baker would let the customer sample one before he bought, so when the customer bought a dozen, he actually got thirteen when you include the sample.
