Caramel shortbread recipe?!

INGREDIENTS
? 150 g butter, softened
? 50 g white sugar
? 155 g all-purpose flour
? 115 g butter
? 110 g packed light brown sugar
? 30 ml light corn syrup
? 120 ml sweetened condensed milk
? 215 g milk chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 C).

2.n a medium bowl, mix together 2/3 cup butter, white sugar, and flour until evenly crumbly. Press into a 9 inch square baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes.

3.In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and beat vigorously with a wooden spoon for about 3 minutes. Pour over baked crust (warm or cool). Cool until it begins to firm.

4.Place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute, then stir and continue to heat and stir at 20 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly to cover completely. Chill. Cut into 1 inch squares. These need to be small because they are so rich.

Only takes 35min overall. PERFECT!

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup corn syrup dark is best
1 teaspoon gelatin unflavored
2/3 cup milk, sweetened condensed

Directions

An upside down toffee-like confection.
First Layer: Measure first 3 ingredients into bowl.
Crumble together well.
Press in ungreased 8 x 8-inch pan.
Bake in 350 F oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool.
Second Layer: Melt the scond amount of butter and corn syrup
in heavy saucepan.
Measure sugar in cup. Stir in gelatin to mix thoroughly.
Add to saucepan stirring to dissolve.
Add condensed milk. Stir, bringing to a boil.
Boil 4 minutes stirring constantly. It burns very easily when boiling.
Remove from heat. Beat with spoon until it thickens and gets blobby.
You will need to take a moment's rest now and then as you beat.
Pour over first layer.
Chill overnight. Invert on plastic wrap.
This makes it much easier to cur through to the bottom.
Cut into 25 squares.
