I need an AWESOME shrimp fettucine alfredo recipe!?!

Question: During lunch today, my boyfriend revealed that he loves a good fettucine alfredo (and I already know he loves shrimp).

Our 2 year anniversary, and of course, Valentine's Day is coming up. I usually make him dinner for these events, and I'd love to make him a mind blowing shrimp fettucine alfredo. We'll be celebrating both events on Feb. 12th because we won't see each other due to work on our anniversary (Feb. 11th) or Valentine's Day.

Any suggestions for a great recipe?

Thanks in advance! :)

Ingredients:
* 1 pound fettuccini pasta
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 1 pound cooked shrimp - peeled and deveined
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 cup half-and-half
* 6 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
* salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
2. In a large skillet, saute shrimp and garlic in the butter for about one minute. Pour in half and half; stir. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese in one tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly. After all Parmesan is added, mix in parsley and salt. Stir frequently making sure it does not boil. Sauce will take a while to thicken.
3. When sauce has thickened, combine with cooked pasta noodles; serve hot.

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) package fettuccine pasta
1/2 cup margarine
1 pint heavy cream
1 pint 1% low-fat milk
6 ounces Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic
1 cup mushrooms
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 lb shrimp, cooked, peeled and deveined

Steps:
1. Cook Fettuccine according to package instructions.

2. Simultaneously, saute mushrooms over medium-low heat with a little bit of garlic.

3. I use olive oil cooking spray to cut down on fat.

4. Add the shrimp to warm them after the mushrooms have been on a few minutes.

5. Melt the margarine (butter works great as well).

6. When melted, stir in the cream and milk.

7. Add the cheese.

8. Continue to stir to minimize separation.

9. It will be quite runny as it thickens over the pasta.

10. Drain the pasta and return to pot.

11. Immediately pour the sauce over the pasta (you will have a bit too much) and then add the tomatoes, shrimp and mushrooms.

12. Stir for a minute or so, until the sauce thickens.

Good luck & enjoy! =)

I looked at the other recipes, my secret is to make a thin white sauce (Alfredo Sauce)

mix all the ingredients in a blender or with a mixer
pour into a saucepan and heat on medium stirring until thickened
add water to thin your sauce if needed
Grated Cheddar cheese can be added to sauce and let melt into sauce.
remove from stove
Cook shrimp in boiling water about 5 minutes if purchased uncooked.
add shrimp to Alfredo sauce
Serve with a Mandarin Salad
1 Romain lettuce washed and cut into bowl
Add 2 green onions cut
Add slivered almonds and bacon bits to salad
Top with drained can of whole segment Mandarin oranges
Dressing for salad

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

My boyfriend is a fettuccine Alfredo connoisseur and he scrapes the pan every time! I get nothing but rave reviews when I make this dish.

INGREDIENTS
24 ounces dry fettuccini pasta
1 tablespoon butter
24 oz cooked shrimp - peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup butter
3/4 pint heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
1 dash garlic salt
3/4 cup grated Romano cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add fettuccini and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
In a large skillet, saute shrimp and garlic in the butter for about one minute. Then melt the additional 1 cup butter, and add cream over low heat. Add salt, pepper and garlic salt. Stir in cheese over medium heat until melted; this will thicken the sauce.
Add pasta to sauce. Use enough of the pasta so that all of the sauce is used and the pasta is thoroughly coated. Serve immediately
