Super Light French Toast

Ingredients:
3 egg whites
4 slices stale whole wheat bread
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 dash cinnamon
1/2 cup skim milk

Steps:
1. Mix the egg whites, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Pour the mixture onto a plate (but one with sides so the mixture doesn't slosh). Dip the bread in, allowing the mixture to soak in both sides. Do this with each slice of bread.

2. Heat an electric skillet to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray it with cooking spray if needed. When it is hot, put the toast on and let it cook until one side is brown. When it is, flip the toast over. Do this with all the toasts.

3. When the toasts are the right color, turn the heat off and serve the toast with light syrup, fresh fruit, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Yummy!

Good luck & enjoy! =)

Butter and syrup to taste........Enjoy!

For 8 - 10 pieces of french toast, beat 4 eggs in a bowl. Add about 1/4 cup of half and half (or cream). Soak slices of white bread, sourdough or cinnamon raisin bread.
Heat a large skillet with butter. As butter begins to bubble, add the bread. Allow it to cook about 5 - 6 minutes before turning. Cook until toast is nice and brown.
Serve with powdered sugar, regular sugar, pancake syrup or jelly.

Creme Brulee French Toast -with Grand Marnier~~

Very rich French toast - can be made ahead of time.

INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons corn syrup
6 (1 inch thick) slices French bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Remove the dish from the refrigerator, and bring to room temperature.

I don't use a recipe..just eyeball it & I guarantee if you do the same, it'll turn out delicous. It's easy..and quick..I usually put 3-4 eggs (depending on how large of a batch you're planning on making) cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, & milk. Just put a dash of this and a dash of that. I'm serious...don't stress about the portions..of course be realistic..don't put one cup of sugar in...but just enough to your judgement. If you don't feel confident in not measuring the ingredients..cook one toast, test the taste..and if adjustment is needed, do so, then continue.

2 eggs, 1/2 teas.vanilla, 2 tablespoons orange juice, a shake of salt. whip with a fork. Dip white bread or raison bread into eggs. and fry in a preheated pan using real butter. yummm!

Mix together the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla, salt& cinnamon.
Heat a large skillet, or griddle.
When the skillet is hot, add 1 tablespoon butter.
If the butter smokes, your pan is too hot; turn down the heat.
Dip each slice of bread into the batter for 30 seconds on each side.
Let some of the batter drip off, then put in skillet.
Cook each slice 1 1/2-2 minutes per side until each side is golden brown.
Add more butter, if necessary, to cook all of the slices.
To serve, put on plate, dust with powdered sugar. Serve with butter & hot syrup.
