Dinner ideas ??!
We both love chicken, salmon, pasta etc & I don't eat pork. (not for religion but by choice)
Answers: I am 20 years old & I live with my boyfriend. We both work full time jobs & go to college part time. So were ALWAYS busy with something. What are some easy dinner idea's for me to make during the week? We're tired of eating the same thing, & were even more tired of going out to eat.

I practically worship www.myrecipes.com, search for "dinner tonight". they have a whole quick and easy section
There's a lot of things you do with boneless chicken, buy a family size package... and make a few different dishes out of it. There's a show of the food network that does make ahead meals like that... can't remember her name, sorry.
My biggest cheat for a fast healthy dinner on busy nights is the grocery store salad bar. I fill a container with chopped veggies - they do all the prep work for me. Then I pick up a pkg of pre cut meat - a lot of stores sell small pkgs of 'stir fry' meat, perfect. I throw it all in a nonstick skillet with a nice bottled stir fry sauce and dinner is done. You can pick up some quick cook noodles - they even sell frozen rice you can just heat up.
Use the same technique but vary the seasonings and veggies to make a "stir fry" Italian, Mexican, Thai, German, Indian, etc.
Cheesy Chicken Pasta.
Chicken.
Poach your chicken pieces in some stock and set aside, until cool enough to handle, and de-bone.
Pasta.
Place in salted boiling water and cook until you get the degree of cooking you like.
Penne or Elbows will do very well here.
Sauce.
Make a normal white sauce and add some grated tasty cheese, remove from heat and stir until it is smooth.
Combine everything and place in an oven proof dish, sprinkle with more cheese and bake until it is bubbling and the cheese has melted and started to brown.
spaghetti is really easy to make. also get a bag of frozen chicken. they have 5 pounds for $5 at walmart. I always get that chicken. you can also boil up some fresh veggies to go with it. also at walmart, just for a couple of dollars, you can get a huge box of instant mashed potatoes. homestyle bakes are really easy to make, they are in the same aisle as the mashed potatoes. some hamburger helper is nice too.
Someone mentioned a show on Food Network that would definitely be helpful for you, and that is Quick Fix Mills with Robin Miller: http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/lf_qe_qu...
You know what you like to eat better than anyone else, so why don't you check out a site like www.allrecipes.com? You can look up recipes based on ingredients or by their rating. It also allows you to reduce the serving size based on how many you want to serve. You can even choose from a list of suggested sides.
Hope this helps!
