I think anything homemade is more thoughtful... I would definately want the filet over all the other choices, and a nice bottle of red wine too!

I think you should ask your guests what THEY would prefer, seeing as how they will be attending your party.

Unless we are all invited? ;)

pizza,kfc

Ask them. Personally, I prefer the fancy dinner. Just make sure you have lots of cookies cake and icecream!

lasagna and cheesecake for dessert

I would prefer the fetticheni and alfredo sauce, but put chicken breast into it.....like saute the chicken breast on the side, in some olive oil and garlic podwer, with a little papricka and white wine (only wine that would be good enough to drink, not yucky). before putting it into the pan, try chopping it up into bite size pieces, as this will help it to cook faster. Don't start the chicken until the alfredo sause is ready.......and then when the chicken is almost ready, start your pasta......also, drain your chicken before adding it into your alfredo sause........yum yum.......also, bread with butter(real butter, freshly baked bread) and a salad..........

I would love the fancy dinner, but I have no idea what your friends would like.

Who doesn't like a steak though, right?

Fettucini & Alfredo sauce OR
Spaghetti with pasta sauce

1 (10 oz.) pkg. fettuccine noodles
1 lb. salmon fillet
1 lb. med. shrimp
8 oz. Alfredo sauce
2 or 3 tomatoes
3 tbsp. basil
3 oz. Parmesan cheese
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Lemon juice

Squeeze lemon juice on salmon. Bake salmon in pan (without water) for 20 to 25 minutes at 450 degrees. Remove skin and break into chunks after cooking. Clean and boil shrimp; drain. Boil fettuccine according to package instructions. Strain noodles. Heat Alfredo sauce in microwave. Combine noodles, Alfredo sauce, salmon, shrimp, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and basil. Toss. Add uncooked, cut up tomatoes. Toss and serve

Chinese. Make some simple foods yourself or get some good take-out. Hobby Lobby has some really cute take out boxes for not more than $2 each in lots of colors with different designs that would be very cute to serve the food in. Serve lo mein or fried rice, egg rolls, tea, a couple types of meat, and of course... fortune cookies! Here are some great recipes!

Grilled Filet Mignon
Loaded Baked Potato or Twice-Baked Potato
Roasted Carrots w/ Ginger-Orange Glaze
Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes for dessert

Roasted Carrots with Ginger-Orange Glaze
Serves 8

Inspect your bag of baby carrots carefully for pockets of water. Carrots taken from the top of the supermarket’s carrot pile are often waterlogged. This not only makes carrots mealy, it also dashes any hopes of caramelization in the oven.

2 pounds baby carrots (two 16-ounce bags)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 475 degrees. Toss carrots, oil, and salt in broiler-pan bottom. Spread into single layer and roast 10 minutes.

2. After carrots have roasted 10 minutes, while carrots continue to roast, bring 1 heaping tablespoon orange marmalade, 1 tablespoon water, and 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger to simmer in small saucepan over medium-high heat. Drizzle mixture over carrots; shake pan to coat, and continue roasting about 8 minutes longer, shaking pan twice more, until carrots are browned and tender.

MOLTEN CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKES

? C. butter, unsalted
4 oz. bittersweet chocolate
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
? C. sugar
2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

Butter and flour custard cups or specialty molds. Preheat oven to 450oF. Melt the butter and chocolate, but do not let it boil. Remove from heat and set aside. Beat together the 2 eggs plus 2 yolks and the sugar, until it's light and thick... about 5 minutes. Pour the now tepid chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, and beat to mix. Quickly beat in the flour until just mixed in. Pour into the custard cups. (At this point you can refrigerate for up to 24 hours. If you refrigerate, let return to room temp before you bake.) Put custard cups on a baking sheet and bake at 450oF for 6-7 minutes. The outside will be set up, but the top may still be slightly wiggly. Invert on plate, let sit for 10 seconds or so, remove custard cup. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, and surround with a raspberry sauce or add a scoop of ice cream or real whipped cream on the side, or serve w/ fresh raspberries or strawberries.
