What cheese dish could i make in a hour?!
Answers: i need to make a dish with cheese in it and i was thinking something like a risotto , can you give me any ideas because it has to be interesting.
Cheesy Herb Risotto
6 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 tablespoon butter
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cups Arborio rice
1 box (10 oz.) frozen asparagus cuts, thawed
1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
1 cup grated Asiago cheese
1/2 cup grated Italian blend seasoned cheeses
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup julienned fresh basil, optional
Bring chicken broth to a boil. Lower heat and keep broth at low simmer while cooking risotto. Melt butter in a large saucepan over med. heat. Add onion; cook and stir 3-5 min. or until onion is softened. Add rice; cook and stir 2-3 min. or until rice is coated. Add 1/2 cup broth (broth that is currently simmering); cook and stir until broth is absorbed. Continue adding broth 1/2 cup at a time, stirring frequently, until broth is absorbed. Stir in asparagus and sundried tomatoes about 5 min. before end of cooking time.
(Total cooking time should be about 20 to 30 min. and some broth may be left over. Rice should be tender but firm with a creamy consistency.) Remove from heat; stir in cheeses, salt and pepper to taste and basil, if desired. Serve immediately.
Cheesy Chicken Pasta.
Chicken.
Poach your chicken pieces in some stock and set aside, until cool enough to handle, and de-bone.
Pasta.
Place in salted boiling water and cook until you get the degree of cooking you like.
Penne or Elbows will do very well here.
Sauce.
Make a normal white sauce and add some grated tasty cheese, remove from heat and stir until it is smooth.
Combine everything and place in an oven proof dish, sprinkle with more cheese and bake until it is bubbling and the cheese has melted and started to brown.
Mac n cheese !
Fondue!!!
In a skillet heat up some olive oil and a couple pads of butter. Add some diced shallots, cook until translucent - don't burn. In a seperate sauce pan heat up a box of chicken stock. Once it's heated add a bunch of cleaned asparagus to the saucepan and blanch for about 3 minutes. Remove from the chicken stock and allow to cool. Then cut into diagonals.
Meanwhile, add a cup of arborio rice to the skillet, then add a 1/2 C of champagne, stir the mixture constantly. Once that is absorbed add a couple ladles of the hot chicken stock and constantly stir the rice mixture until all the liquid is evaporated. Keep doing this until you run out of chicken stock, stirring the mixture all the while. After all the liquid is cooked out and the risotto is very creamy, add 1 more pad of butter, the asparagus and 3/4 C of parmesan and serve. YUMMY
You can also top it with cooked bacon pieces or pancetta.
Also, you can omit the champagne if you prefer. Just adds a layer of depth to the dish, but it's not a requirement. So you could serve it at school. Also, it this whole process only takes about 20-25min.

Grill cheese sandwich !! Yummmmmy !
How about thick tomato slices dipped in beaten egg & then grated Parmesan cheese. Saute in mixture of butter & a few tsps. of oil. Places slices on brown paper bags or paper towels to absorb the oil. These are sooo delicious!! You can mix a little seasoned bread crumbs to the cheese.
