Can I use metal measuring cups to measure out the flour & sugar to add to Amish Friendship Bread starter?!

Question: When I made my friendship bread a few weeks ago, I used the metal measuring cups with no problems. We have been keeping our starters in the 1 gallon ziploc bags, pouring the batters into the bags, then mashing them together. My bread, and all of my friends' breads were all done this way, and they all came out great.

yes the metal ones are for dry ingredients the cup glass type is for liquids..i learned this in home ec..the reason is you can round the dry ingredients off with a butter knife...and get accurate measurements

Yes...they are the correct tool for the job.

no.... for that bread you have to stir with a wooden spoon and keep in a glass container or else it will go bad.

common sense
just how would the dry ingredients react with them...
a stainless steal spoon to mix the mash or what you call the liquid batter is the same THEY are non-reactive
the wood tools just make it quaint - old-fashion or maybe Magic
