Fraction conversion?!

Question: need either a chart or a formula for breaking down fractions..
example: i need to cut 1 3/4 in half, quarters, eights etc. I am needing to make haircolor mix at work and this new color works in fractions (liquid ounces) and at times I need to make only a small mixture.
I am terrible with math,
thanks for any help.
A chart would be most wonderful

This one of many fraction tricks that I have used
Watch this
1)make the mixed number a fraction
13/4=7/4
leave the top alone and simply multiply the bottom number by what you're reducing it by
7/4 halved = 7/8 >quartered =7/16 >eighthed =7/32
More: I TBS =1/2 oz @ 3 tsps /oz 1tsp=1/6 oz

Might want to try the mathematics section.

You could also break down the recipe into parts.

So say your recipe is like this:

1/2 ounce part A
3/4 ounce part B
1 ounce part C
1 1/4 ounce part D

First convert the fractions to quarters like this:

2/4 ounce part A
3/4 ounce part B
4/4 ounce part C
5/4 ounce part D

Now remove the Fourths sign:

2 parts A
3 partsB
4 parts C
5 parts D

Now for any recipe just change the bottom part of the parts.

So you can make a small batch like this:

2/16 ounce part A
3/16 ounce part B
4/16 ounce part C
5/16 ounce part D

Total 14/16ths of an ounce.
