ahh oh wow, well lets see.

i like to make homemade french onion soup. i recently learned how to make it, a couple of months ago, and i've made it 6 times since then. it takes a while but it is definitely worth it!!

i also really love baking, so whenever i have a day off i love to bake banana bread, honey cake, different pies and other things for my husband. and he loves it! i dont do it too often so it is a really nice treat whenever i have the chance to make it.

California Coq au Vin. It's a simple version of the French recipe (I'll send it if you're interested).

i made cake yesterday..:) And it's all gone because my skinny(yeah, pfft.) sister ate like half of it.

Same with me, except for the apron (gets in the way, haha). I'm 16 and I've already been cooking solo for 5 years. I develop my own recipes and they taste quite good. I do it well enough that my cousin actually hired me (and paid me a good chunk!) to cater her wedding! I LOVE to make breads and soups, but right now I'm making a late supper of roasted lamb chops with a Caesar salad and bruschetta, served with fresh brewed iced tea and a homemade tiramisu.

I like to make Italian Beef Hoagies on the weekends. It's delicious, but very simple.

Buy a 3-4 lb. beef roast, two packets of dry Italian dressing, one jar of sliced pepprocini (sp?) peppers, some sliced provolone cheese, and package of hoagie rolls.

In a slow cooker/crock pot, combine the roast and the dry Italian dressing. Cook it on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. When the meat is one hour away from being done, pour the peppers (juice and all) in the slow cooker and combine well.

Serve the meat on the hoagie buns with the cheese.

They're wonderful hot, hearty sandwiches.

Hope you like them!

This is one I like...

NEW YORK STRIP STEAK GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons horseradish mustard
1 cup baby spinach leaves, stems removed and coarsely chopped
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, softened
2 (about 8 ounces each) New York strip steaks, grilled to desired
doneness
8 slices hearty, white bread
2/3 cup canned, drained or previously sauteed fresh mushrooms
4 slices Havarti cheese

In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and horseradish mustard. Stir
until smooth. Fold chopped spinach gently into the mixture.

Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread. On the
unbuttered sides of each slice of bread, spread equal amounts of the
cream cheese mixture. Set aside.

Trim steak of any visible fat and thinly slice on the diagonal. Layer
four slices of bread each with approximately 1/4 of the steak slices,
and 1/4 of the sauteed mushrooms. Top each sandwich with a slice of
Havarti cheese, and remaining slices of bread, buttered side out.

Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches,
in batches, if necessary, for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until
golden and the cheeses are melted. Serve immediately.

some kabobs, grilled aspargusa and a cold beer or a glass wine

kabobs
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons light brown sugar
3 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
4 fluid ounces citrus flavor preferably lemon-lime or orange
