Does macaroni salad call for mustard in the recipe?!

Question: Mustard is entirely optional. If you like it in your potato salad then you'll like it in your macaroni salad.

If you use regular yellow mustard, I wouldn't put more than 2 measured teaspoons. It adds a little kick but too much and your dressing is ruined.

If you us Dijon mustard then I'd use a tablespoon or more.

The bottom line here is....taste as you go.

It can be added to the mayonnaise to spice that up.

It's an optional ingredient, but adds a whole lot of zip to the taste.

Mine does.I use Guldens Spicy

yes about a tablespoon i use

If you don't like regular mustard, dijonnaise works very nicely :)

It is an optional yet traditional ingredient..... depending on how I am feeling about changing the flavor of my salads..... I use: yellow mustard, brown mustard, very spicy mustard...but try using a small amount of horseradish.....

All are good.....just have fun cooking and don't be afraid to experiment a bit.

I don't use it in mine. But it will give you an added zip.
