powdered cheese packet, 3 Tbs butter, splash of milk.

I don't like tomato sauce myself. This recipe sounds good! This is my fave site for recipes!

In a saucepan, melt some butter with some garlic and parsley (dried kind if you do not have fresh) and let the garlic cook a few minutes until tender but don't let the garlic brown. Pour this mixture over your pasta and toss. Also delicious if you add some broccoli to the mix.

Garlic Butter Sauce
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup butter
1 clove crushed garlic
1/4 tablespoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano

DIRECTIONS
In a small saucepan melt butter, add garlic and saute until cooked. Add dried oregano and dried basil and stir until heated through.
Serve warm.

Butter and garlic is good. Some people like butter and salt and pepper. If you have butter you can make a few different sauces.
You can make a roux = equal parts butter and flour in a small sauce pan. Cook for about a minute to cook the flour and you can add any kind of broth, stock, or even a water and bouillion flavoring to it. You can make all varieties depending on what you have on hand. You could add milk and make a bescemel sauce, and possibly even add cheese. You could add grated garlic, grated onion, or red chile pepper flakes to it. Any combo you want. Good luck and I hope that helps. If you want to learn more about different sauces check out www.Rachaelray.com and go to her recipe link. She makes all kinds of sauces from scratch and they are all super simple!
