Slow cooker...making a pot roast?!

Question: My recipe says to place in a "sprayed" slow cooker. Does that mean cooking spray? Don't laugh, I'm trying to learn to cook.

Yes, cooking spray. Use pam. If you don't you will have a heck of a time cleaning that crock pot. you should do what I do and add 1 can of beef broth, some small carrots and a sliced onion. That is, if it's a pot roast you're cooking.

yes...

Sprayed means greased, you can buy oil in spray bottles from your local supermarket

yes cooking spray

Yes, pam or another cooking spray will do. Good luck beginning cooking. This might sound strange but you will probably do some of your best cooking now because you will be so careful and probably follow all recipes. I have been to culinary school and cooked professionally and some of the best cooking was done when I first began because I was careful and asked questions, just like you!

yes

Yes Maam!! See, You know more that you think.

Yes. When you are going to cook it. If you were going to make it now. You should put it on low if you are going to bed. Best Bet if you was to cook one you should turn it on in the Morning set it on High that would be best. Then you or someone in the afternoon set it on Low.

Yes that means cooking spray, but I don't see why. If you put a 1/4 cup of water in it should not stick. Did you braise it first???

You go Girl ! I don't know why they would direct you to spray a slow cooker . But a short quick spray of good cooking oil wouldnt do any harm .Normal slow cooker dishes are wet dishes anyway. But anyway you keep cooking girl . It takes a little bit of patience and of course the secret is lots of passion
HAPPY COOKING !

Yes. However, if you are up to it, buy the slow cooker bags from Reynolds. They make clean up easy, and nothing sticks.

Yes, use a non-stick spray.

The pot roast will create it's own juices. You don't have to spray.
