Did you ever have grapes in your chicken salad?!
Answers: I was served that today..........and I didn't care for it!
Yes I have had it served that way and I didn't care for it either. I prefer my chicken salad not to have fruit in it and to be made with white meat chicken. The Chicken Salad I make at home only has finely chopped onions or onion powder, celery seed (not freshly chopped celery), lots of boiled eggs, some sour cream, some mayonnaise, some Mrs. Dash seasoning, a little bit of seasoned salt and freshly ground pepper in it. It's simple but it really tastes very good. Even people that hate sour cream usually like my Chicken Salad. I copied the idea from a really good Deli that I used to eat at quite often when I worked on the opposite side of town.
yes purple seedless are wonderful sith slivered almonds
Yes, along with walnuts and a taragon mayo dressing. Yummy!
oh really?!
my country club puts grapes in the chicken salad and i love it! guess its not for everyone! to answer your question: yeah i've had it (&ilove it)
Yes, I love it that way. Maybe you don't like fruit very much.
With green grapes and pecans.........it is great. Some people like onion in theirs. I would suggest one or the other. Do not use grapes and nuts with onions.
yeah i didn't like it either. they put purple grapes in it. blah.

yes i didnt really like it that much but i did like cranberries
I tried it once in a salad from a restaurant...and Hated it!
I don't like fruit with meat...which brings me to a question.
" What have YOU learned about yourself on cooking/ YA?
I have learned I have food " Texture issues" and i hate meat and fruit LOL
I've had it that way and it was great, especially as a change of pace. If you didn't like it,then you know what not to order at that place next time!
No, I never did. I would usually think fruit would not go well with it.
Funny you should ask! I was served chicken salad just this week with both apples and grapes in it. It was okay but not something I would order again.
I have and I didn't much care for it either. It reminded me of Waldorf Salad, which i never liked and was forced to eat as a child.
xx
now that you meantion it ... I had what I thought was grapes in my salad ... turned out that it was catfish eyeballs ...... you could tell the difference after the first one was crushed..
Steak & Shake makes a grilled chicken salad with ...grapes...apples....walnuts....and dried cranberries....served with a rasberry vinegret dressing....very good. (dressing is on the side...and I add a pkg. of sweetener to it before putting on salad.....I like it sweeter)
Was my supper last night.
I love it that way....
