Question: What can I do without making it thinner ?

Answers: What can I do without making it thinner ?

Throw a cut-up potato in. The potato will act like a sponge and soak up the salt. Throw the potato away before serving. Soup still too salty? Sometimes a little lemon juice or vinegar will counter the salt.

depends on too much a little too much or like the top fell off and the all lot went in as if its the latter not much the first one, still not easy as there is likely to be a high salt content which is unhealthy try adding a bit of pepper to mask the flavour or add more ingredants

I love everything with too much salt!

Well you could add more water but that would make it thinner. I suggest you add more of the ingredients (vegetables or cream you used) to make a bigger soup. Then t\it will not be as salty, but you'll have too much soup! Learn from your mistakes; next time dont add salt, just serve and add as you eat. Good luck

Cut up potato is a good one. My missus is a chef and she has said this before.

If you added too much salt, you can put a potato into the pot if you are still cooking it. The potato absorbs the salt.

a cut up raw potatoe will absorb some of tht salt....you can also add some more water if the soup is not too thin.

Peel a whole potato and drop it in. Take the potato out before serving if it doesn't go with the soup (that's why you leave it whole in the first place)

add a couple of potatos to it .they'll soak up the salt.
