I'm making chili...?!

Question: Other than the usual ingredients... meat, peppers, onion, etc.... what do you like in yours?

Answers: Other than the usual ingredients... meat, peppers, onion, etc.... what do you like in yours?

Believe it not...

Just a "smidgeon" of granulated sugar...very little...too much would make it sticky...
And a tiny dash of Rosemary...again very little...Rosemary is powerful...it's a spicey risk...but if done right...it works pretty good...

Damn...you've got me hungry now...when's suppa', pretty Momma...?

Kidney beans, a can of maple beans, few cans of canned mushrooms, lots of celery, yum now I want chili!!

I chop a clove of garlic and I like use to Mrs Dash -the red one can't remember the name but it gives the chili a more italian taste.

Ray's chili:

Heat deep non-stick pan on medium for 5 minutes WITHOUT OIL OR BUTTER;

Brown one lb of 70 to 75% beef (can be cooked without beef too);

Add half of a small onion chopped after meat's red-raw-look is gone;

Add large can Hormal chili without beans;

Add small can Hormal chili with beans;

Ro-Tel, medium or mild found in the canned tomato section at the store;

1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder if you have it. Chili is good without it;

Cook about 50 minutes on low or simmer.

Be sure to stir every 15 minutes and watch the clock or it will burn.

I use a taco seasoning packet it gives good flavor

bacon and sausage adds a bit of a diffrent taste

diced tomatoes, corn and brown sugar and lots and lots of pork and beans

mushrooms and lettuce and some mayo its yummy

Tons of garlic, and I add a little soy sauce and beef broth granules to the tomato sauce....yummy!

The best chili is simply beef, onion, pepper, canned tomato sauce, canned tomatoes, canned tomato paste, canned beans, and prepared chili seasoning with a little chili powder and a little cumin. Bacon is also really good if you like a smoky flavor.

tereyake trust me. iwill be going t oculinary school in texas real soon. that plus i love cooking for women. its there turn to get pampered in my book

I don't think I add anything too unusual....a can of whole tomatoes, crushed....is about the only thing I see here different that I add to the cooking part. But I do top every bowl of chili with grated cheddar that I then melt a little in the microwave, and a dollop of sour cream. YUMMERS!! And fresh baked cornbread right out of the oven is the best side dish.

FRESH mushrooms and anchovies

no lie

sugar

kidney beans if I'm making red chili and garlic, chili powder, green peppers, cumin, onions, ground hamburger or tri-t

if i'm making white chili i use white northern beans, ground turkey, onions, vegetable base, vegetable broth, jalepenos, onions, garlic, cumin.

I put crushed and diced tomatoes in mine. And usually I cheat and use a chili seasoning packet.

Corn...sometimes, diced potatoes are good too...diced jalapenos for a kick...

Mushrooms

A little something I like to call Matty's Special Love Powder. It's pretty much chili powder from Spice Island, but I like to keep 'em guessing.

corn

I usually use all fresh ingredients including fresh tomatoes and jalapenos, but I have a secret seasoning that I use in everything too!!
