Question: YORKSHIRE WIGGS.
1lb of flour
halfpound of butter
1 tablespoonful of yeast
half pint of cream
2 eggs
quarterpound of sugar
quarterpound of caraway seeds.
Mix flour butter cream eggs and yeast together and let rise a little.
Then add sugar and caraway comfits make into a dough and bake in a dripping tin
caraway comfits are seeds dipped in sugar coated in sugar
bake till golden brown, test by pressing finger gently to see if firm.

I've never heard of this recipe but I'll see what I can do about converting it to gluten free for mum :)

love the recipe. i might try it this weekend, however i will coat the caraway seeds not dip. hummm maybe colored sugars.
