Thaw it in the refrigerator for a day, rinse it out, cook at 350 for about 20 min per pound.

Leave it in the refrigerator over night. If it's not quite ready you can run it under cold water to get the last ice out, Then season it well inside and out with salt and pepper, rub the skin with olive oil and put it in a 375 degree oven for about an hour and a half - don't rush it the leg should be really wriggly. You might do well tto invest in an instant read thermometer in which case the breast meat should read about 175 (insert in thickest part so the thermometer isnt touching any bone.) Do not cut into the chicken until it has sat outside the oven for 20 minutes. Really. 20 minutes. No exceptions.

A 5 lb chicken will take about 2-3 days to thaw in the fridge. It is not safe to thaw it at room temperature.

Roast it in a preheated, 350 oven for about 1 h, 50 min.
