Chicken gravy
1/4 cup hot chicken grease
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk, warmed

Stir in 1/4 cup flour using wooden spoon
cook roux until blonde, but do not exceed peanut butter colored and do not let burn.
Have 2 cups warm (not hot) milk ready and mix in and stir constantly until gravy is smooth and creamy. If gravy is too thick add additional milk or water. Adjust seasonings to taste. Serve with mashed potatoes and fried chicken.

pour the drippings from your chicken pan into a saucepan.. and add some hot water to get the amount you want.. whisk in some flour and heat it until it starts to thicken.. add salt and pepper to season.. if it's too thick add more water if too thin add more flour.. cook for about 10 minutes and it should be amazing.

just save yourself the aggrevation and get some heinz chicken gravy tell your guests that it's homemade, they will flip there lids, and you take the credit!!!

First make a roux, with 2 tbsp flour or corn-starch stirred into 2 tbsp heated oil or melted butter, smoothly mixed.
Add 1 cup of chicken stock or water & drippings from pan.
Whisk over low heat until thickens, dilute with veggie water.
Increase quantities as needed for volume.
You can add poultry spice for flavour.

I do not like flour based gravies..... I put cornstarch in a little water and stir until smooth..... bring the chicken broth and oil to a boil.....add a bit of sage, garlic powder, 1 cup of water... when boiling ....slowly add the cornstarch mixture.....stirring constantly........ Makes the best gravy!!!!!
