I want my tater tots NOW!?!
Any know how I can get my tots NOW?
Answers: I don't have a lot of time or patience in the morning and the tater tots I have take 15min or so to cook. There has GOT to be some secret method of cooking them faster (i don't have a deep fryer). The bag says to keep frozen but i'm wondering if de frosting and then toasting in the toaster oven might work?

I fix them for my son for breakfast befor I take him to school and what I learned to do was like you said thaw them in the refrigerator so that when I go to toast them they wont take as long, it works perfectly.
Microwave
Eat them raw like a real man!!!!
you can kick Napoleon in the pocket of his cargo pants pocket until tots fall out..
Buy microwavable ones.
Or heat some oil in a deep skillet and cook them that way, you don't need a deep fryer, but that's a lot of mess in the morning.
dude, u gunna eat dem tots?
ok, yeah ,defrost them and pop em in the toaster oven for 2 minutes. Enjoy!
Keep them out out the freezer and in the fridge. When morning comes, fry like you usually would, just without having to take so much time. That's what I do, especially with my hash browns. Don't do everything the packaging labels tells you.
don't freeze it, frigerate it and then put it the hot tub and eat it while taking a bath
They are cooked, so you could thaw them out overnight without fear of food poisoning. If you have a toaster oven, I'd make them in there. They'll heat up much faster if they don't have to go from frozen to hot.
I can totally relate. Mornings are rough enough as it is! =)~
Try making a batch at night and keep them in the fridge. Just microwave in the morning for a few seconds. This way you could actually do 3 days worth at a time.
LOL - Not that I should encourage you to eat that many tater tots! But it's your heart right!?
get up earlier.
blow torch.
I would think that it would work. Heck that is actually a great idea. I might try that. Sometimes I like to chop up tater tots and peppers and onions and fry them up. Mighty tasty.
SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN, EITHER wake up earlier or a newer toaster oven is probably what you need to invest in.
OH: you do have to keep them frozen. SORRY!
Tater Tots -- YUMMY! ME WANT NOW! Ha! I think you and I must be kindred spirits because I get the Jones for my Tater Tot fix almost every day. But good news! I've found a way to have my Tater Tots in under 2 minutes and that is through a food subscription service in my area. They are nationwide in scope and probably deliver to your area. I'm talking about Schwan's home delivery and here is their link:
www.Schwans.com
Navigate there and on the right is an open Search field where you enter "Tater Tots", and a screen pops up to reveal their two versions: Tater Rounds (2.5 lb. bag for $3.99, Item No. 760), and Cheesy Tater Rounds (2.0 lb. bag for $7.99, Item No. 960). Both take less that 2 minutes to cook in the microwave and amazingly, they do come out fairly crisp although certainly not as crisp as if you baked them in the oven.
If speed is your goal, then microwave is the way, but choosing the RIGHT Tater Tot brands is key. I've bought french fries and tater tots from the grocery store before but if those were microwaved, they always turned out soggy and unacceptable. Schwans has a superior product, I believe, and is a company that is known for it's quality.
You can order on-line or by telephone and the Schwan's truck will deliver to your door with no extra charge for delivery. There may be a Schwan's truck already delivering to your neighborhood so I invite you to check them out. We swear by them and certainly have our own favorites in terms of food selections they make and that we like. Their tater tots (rounds, whatever) DO pass my own discriminating standards so I hope this tip may help you in your quest for the better tot, FAST.
