How do you make the chocolate for?!

Question: Chocolate covered strawberries? Can you just melt the morsels? Or is there something else you have to add?

It works best if u add some butter.
1/2 cup of morsels with 3 tablespoons of butter will make it not so hard and make it look more shiny.

You can melt them but dont melt them in a microwave. I tried that and the chocolate got all chunky and it was somewhat burnt. Melt them with a fondue maker or use them in a sauce pan with editable wax. They will form better.

You can use the morsels just melt them and use two tablespoons of chopped parafin wax. Melt in a double boiler.

Just melt the Choc and Dip berries. Lay on wax paper do harden up.

melt them and add a lil butter...

In the baking aisle they sell a special chocolate just made for dipping. I believe you microwave it and just dip the strawberries. Go look for it in your local grocery store.

Make a ganache... here is the basic recipe for it.

9 ounces bittersweet (or other type) chocolate morsels
1 cup heavy cream

heat the cream to just boiling
pour over the chips in a heat proof bowl
let sit for a minute and then stir to smooth.

You can then dip the strawberries and set them on wax paper or foil and chill them. It will harden up nicely.

you can chill the left overs (might want to add a bit of liqueur to flavor it) and make truffles by rolling stiff ganache into balls and rolling in cocoa powder or powdered sugar.

What is the best way that the professionals do when they make the chocolate sauce for dipping. is as follows:
1 bar simi sweet chocolate
2 ozs Heavy cream (you can use 1/2 & 1/2)
1 Tblspoon of lt brown sugar
heat in double bloiler style until melted stiring it .
turn off the heat on your pot. But keep the bowl on there so the chocolate does not harden.. Use srewers for inserting into Strawberries.. After you dip place on wax paper to dry
Happy , Happy you will be
