my mom cooks fish in the over all the time and its really good!
you can also broil it in the oven.
go to allrecipes.com for a suggestion, i love that website.
if you do cook it in the oven, just know you will have a fishy (not gross, just... fishy) smell in the house for the day.

Why not fry it in Oliver oil helps keep the cholesterol.

wrap it in tin foil with a little of Mrs. Dash seasoning that is low salt, and a tiny tiny bit of olive oil and put it in the oven at 350 or so for 15 to 20 min. Delicious!

no... if you like the taste of it, you should have it the way you like it.

you can saute it. spray a pan w/canola oil, sprinkle some lemon salt and pepper on it..

or take some PARCHMENT paper (not wax) and get a long sheet, fold it in half and crimp 3 sides of it together, then put the fish, some herbs and a little wine and lemon in there and bake it in the oven.. depending on how thick it is it should take 10 to 20 minutes to cook.. good luck!

Spray a cast iron pan with oil, heat to very high, sear bottom of fish 2 minutes, place pan in very hot oven for 5-6 minutes. You can season the top of the fish first. Yum.

You're supposed to cook them in the oven
Turn the broiler on
lightly season the fillet
onto a piece of foil
onto a broiler pan
sprinkle w/ white wine
Broil for 4-5 minutes -check
if it's all white you over cooked it
get it right next time

is not.. i do it all the time in my oven broiled or baked and some nice potatoes along side is a good thing. also you can poach the fish instead of boiling, add some spices and herbs to the water or use chicken stock and some herbs, garlic, bay seasoning etc. another great solution is to buy a bamboo steamer and use that to for your fish and veggies, also using some a bit of olive oil in a non stick pan is a beautiful thing, great flavor and crunchiness and good for your heart as well

Yes you can roast, broil and bake fish in the oven. Like many have suggested, some seasoning and a slick of olive oil will produce delicious results. Just remember to keep the skin side up to help keep the flesh moist.

I agree, boiled fish would taste horrible. So I'd like to encourage you to do give poached fish (especially salmon) a try. Just gently poach in white wine with a bay leaf, salt and a few peppercorns. Remove when ready (give a poke and if it flakes it's done), and continue to simmer liquid until reduced some and pour over. I like to serve this at room temperature.
Good luck and Bon Appetit
