What is a good way to cook a 3 pound pork loin roast? What do you season it with?!
INGREDIENTS:
1 boneless pork loin roast, about 3 to 4 pounds
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
4 to 6 medium potatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon thyme
1 to 2 teaspoon freeze-dried or fresh chives
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
PREPARATION:
Rub pork loin with 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme, then sprinkle with salt and pepper; place pork loin in a shallow roasting pan. Roast at 325° for 50 to 55 minutes.

You can cook it using the same method as a beef roast. I like to season my pork roasts with salt, pepper, paprika, sage and caraway seed. Sear the roast on all sides in an oven proof pan or dutchoven, then season and add about an inch of water. I also like to add carrots. Bake covered in a 325 to 350 F oven for about 2 hours. Serve pork with applesauce!

I like to raost it in the oven. I rub it down w/ a mixture of dry mustard, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Rub that all over, then roast at 350oF until internal temp reaches 155oF. Remove to platter or cutting board; cover wl foil and let sit 20-30 min to reabsorb flavors and to allow internal temp to rise to 165oF.
poke holes with a knife into the pork loin, stuffing the holes with slices of garlic, parsley and italian cheese. coat in flour, brown in a heavy saute pan in olive oil. place in oven for 90 minutes at 375 degree oven, covered. then for 10 minutes more uncovered. salt and pepper to taste.
