Sauce recipes?!
Answers: I cook veggies in a skillet quite often and sometimes add them to cooked pasta or rice. Is there any sauce recipes that I could easily and quickly make to pour over the dish to add some more flavor? The one thing I don't like is mushrooms though. All responses are appreciated.
OH YES pink sauce, I love it, now I must tell you make sure you don't have MSG in anything cose I found out it is a cause of cancer in men, prostate cancer and I think in women too it causes cancer, I just tell people every chance I get. Now Tomato sauce helps prevent prostate cancer in men so here is a good one with tomato sauce. Add half cup tomato sauce to 3/4 heavy whipping cream, add some salt, some pepper, some chopped basil and whatever other seasonings you may want to add, usually leaving it simple is the best way but anyways, let it boil on medium low heat and pout it over the pasta or whatever you are cooking, you can refrigerate the rest and use it for like a week sometimes I use it for a little over a week, but it is so good, I am addicted to it. My husband is a cook, a great one too and he taught me this, now I cook so good, that he owns a restaurant but makes sure to come home eat my home cooked meal every night. My friends say they feel sorry that I have to cook for him when he can eat in the restaurant, but he comes home early and we like having that time together so it is all good. Try it out, you will L-O-V-E it and let me know if you need some recipes, I can give you some really good ones, anything you need, let me know, you or anyone here, I love to cook and give out my recipes, it feels like I am cooking for people all over the place! Lol. Good question too, enjoy your star!
no sorry
use thickened veggie/chicken stock (use cornstarch)
Or use a can of some sort of cream of _____ soup
try an Emerald L. sauce
Teriyaki sauce would be good with veges. Add the sauce to the veges when you cook them, and then pour it all over the pasta/rice.
Cheese sauce is another thought. Although, I would add that on top of the veges and pasta/rice, and not cook it with the veges.
Hope this helps!
use some white wine sauce & season to taste ( garlic salt, "old bay" garlic & herb seasoning .... Pepper... )
Depends what style of food you are looking for.
I would say alfredo for pasta, garlic hoisin for rice.
what i like to do is first sautee onions until they are clear and tasteless but still crunchy, then add crushed tomatos, basil, pepper, rosemary, sage, oregano, salt, paprika, and i have this container thing called italian seasoning that i got at safeway, you just need to play around with the amount, but i usually end up with just a teaspoon of each and a tablespoon of the italian seasoning, and i think it tastes good.
Here are a few links to some recipes that may help you out. They are quick and easy and will go with the rice and pasta you mix with the veggies. :) hope this helps

I personally have used this recipe and it taste very good with veggies and rice :)
Mix 1 part balsamic vinegar to 1 part dijon mustard. Whisk it up and
pour it over steamed veggies. It is especially tasty over broccoli.
Knorr makes a number of packaged sauces that take about 5 minutes to make ( Alfredo · Pesto · Creamy Pesto · Parma Rosa · Garlic & Herb · Four Cheese)

there is a simple recipe for Chinese brown sauce.
it uses soy sauce, a bit of cornstarch, maybe 1 drop of sesame oil or a bit of ginger. (please check a Chinese cookbook or online to get proper proportions)
either way, it is fabulous, you could heat it in the skillet after the veggies are done, or in the skillet after you remove the veggies. It is delicious, smells and tastes good - takes about a minute for it to cook.

even easier, is terayaki sauce, straight from the bottle.
Italian Dressing ( not creamy) is good and easy on fresh stir fried veggies.
and, if it/they still exists, try anything in the KRAFT
"flavors of cooking" line. I don't know if they would be near refrigerated produce or near salad dressing.

and i am always willing to add garlic and lemon to anything.
My fiance is Italian and his marinara sauce is amazing and surprisingly simple to make:
saute thiny sliced pieces of garlic (1 whole clove) in extra virgin olive oil. Saute until golden
Add 2 large cans of crushed tomatoes
Add 1 large can of water (empty tomato can)
Add 1 whole potato, cut n half (to absorb excess acid)
Crumble whole basil leaves and mix well
Simmer, stirring regularly with wooden spoon for about 30 - 45 mins
Prego sause is awesome with a little garlic
