What is the tastiest way to prepare portebello mushrooms?!

Question: I have no clue why I bought them but I need to eat them before they go bad. They've been in the fridge for like a week are they still good?

Pull the stems, put them top side down. Mix crab meat, cream cheese, mayo and some oregano and fill each mushroom. Top with mozzarella or asiago cheese and broil for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown. Tastes like heaven.

Slice them up long ways, not too thin, and use them with a nice white wine. To make a great marsala sauce to put over chicken. I love me some portabello's

wipe clean with a damp paper towel...saute with butter and garlic......

Coat them with garlic butter and cook them on the grill and serve them with a nice juicy steak. Mmmm.

Brush them with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and grill.

I like to brush mine with oil and garlic, grill on both sides for about 2 - 3 minutes, then layer with a mozzarella cheese.

Sautee them with some wine.

i slice em up, along with peppers and onions, then sautee that with garlic, half olive oil, half butter. add some white wine initially so they don't burn.

you can then put this into a tortilla, or on a sandwich, or use it to top fish or bird, hell, it's even good on steak.

it all depends on how you want them.
you could slice the long way and sauteee in evoo, with garlic .you can also stuff with crab meat, lobster meat and scallops, make a seafood dressing.
mushrooms will keep for a few days if they are sliced and wrapped in a ziplock bag.if they turn dirt brown they are no good.

clean the underside of the portebello, rub it all over with olive oil, season with salt put on the grill. this takes the place of a burger, try it in a bun with toppings. they are the best mushroom ever!!

As long as they haven't gone from musty smelling to crusty smelling (depends on if they were in the fridge and able to breath) they will be fine, they really smell bad when they are too old you can't mistake it.
Easiest to get rid of quick: fry them up in butter w. bacon, put on toast w. an egg, bobs yer uncle. Or dice them, fry them, then pour beaten egg w. cheese to make a perfect omelet.
