Thanks very much.
If you use a grill, smoke them. Put your coals on one side of the grill bottom. Place your ribs on the opposite end of grill, let them cook really slow, with indirect heat. If your grill has vents, open the bottom vent one the side with the coals, and the top vent on the side with the meat. You can get some hickory or mesquite wood chunks wherever you buy your charcoal, soak them in a tub of water, and place them , a few at a time, on top of your charcoal. This makes smoke, which makes the ribs have that real b b q flavor. You can also soak the wood chips in apple cider for even more flavor. Keep your heat really low, the slower they cook the more tender they will be. If you are using your oven, just keep the heat around 175 and keep your ribs on a wire rack above a pan to catch the drippings. Grilling is the best, if your grill is big enough to cook them where they are not right above the coals.
Whichever way you use, if you can catch the fat and juice that drips off while cooking you can put it in a pan, heat it up, add a little vinegar and some regular old Kraft B B Q sauce. It will make a sauce like the B B Q joints serve.
i'm not a chef
Boil them.
Grill
slooooooooow cook em
my step dad bakes them for a bit and then grills them. I just grill 'em.
I like to parboil them for 30 to 45 minutes and then grill them
I prefer ribs slow cooked over a charcoal fire than cooked in the oven. Be careful not over cook them!
It depends on ones taste ast to what is best. I would suggest you get a good cookbook, follow the appropriate recipe. After you have cooked it a few times adjustments that you would like could be done at that time.
tenderize--then boil --then grill
first let them sit out for about and hr before you put them in the oven - this is to ensure you dont shock the meat -
then you can bake them until they are almost done - at a low tempature -
and before they are done you put them on a low heated grill - ( where the fire is already burnt out and the charcoal is no longer white its just nice and hot and warm -
the first in the oven ensures they are cooked fully -
and the second allows the grilled flavor -
one thing you dont want to do is let anyone eat one for the first five mins. it comes off the grill because the meat looses its flavor if you cut into it with in that time period -
Slow cook them in an oven at about 225 to 250 for about 3.5 to 4 hours and they will turn out very tender. I guarantee it.
mmmmm yeahboil them for a bit .. it will rid lots of extra fat and make them tender .. then grilll emm...mmm mm my mouth watering now ... i think I go pull out ribs for tomorrow .. dinner .. or if you hve lots of time use slow cooker .. pour your BBq sauce on them when u put them in cooker ... good luck
Here are several recipes:

To ensure total tenderness...
First season the raw ribs w/ you favorite seasonings or dry rub.Arrange them in a long pan w/ 1/2 inch water on bottom.
Place ribs in pan far enough apart to 'breathe',cover tightly w/ aluminum foil. Bake at 350* for 2-2/1/2 hrs
Remove pan from oven, take off foil and check for tenderness w/a fork.If the meat falls off the bone they are done. Some ribs take longer depending on size,so allow cooking time for that.
Leave the ribs cool fo about a half hr. on you counter. When you can easily handle them, brush the ribs w/ your favorite BBQ sauce, and place under the ovens broiler for a few minutes or until the sauce starts to turn brown.
Remove ribs..and plate them for service.
Last week, my oven broke and the repairman told me it would take a week to get the part he needed. I had ribs in the refrigerator and didn't want them to go to waste, so I checked the internet for a recipe for cooking ribs in a Crockpot. The ribs were the best I have ever made. Here's the link:
Personally, I never boil my ribs.... I slow cook them with nothing on them at all......... and during the last 15-20 minutes I put my homemade sauce on them and crank up the heat to get them blackened in spots.... they taste like they were cooked on an outdoor grill.
Grilling is usually best to get all the fat out them they taste better too!
