We just moved overseas and I am now baking with European butter...?!

Question: European butter has a much higher fat content than US butter. It has a wonderful taste but makes our normally beautiful rolled cookies come out as flat blobs. We cannot buy margarine and for some cookies Crisco is not the right substitute. What can I do to correct this?

Try cutting it back by 1/3 or half and see how it turns out.

Try making British biscuits, they really are very good. Our muffins never turn out quite a nice as American ones.
