Why do i have to put jam on the same side as the butter?!

Question: why do i have to put jam on the same side as the butter when i make toast.

Answers: why do i have to put jam on the same side as the butter when i make toast.

You have now confused the toast,
it usually falls jam/butter side down,
now the poor thing will land on its edge,
so now you can get to it before it can
decide which way to go. Clever!

Who says you have to - Put the jam on the other side and be original

if you didnt which side of the toast would you put down on the plate
the jam side or the butter side ?????

why any butter..??
you got crean cheese>>??

So all the flavors can meld together and make a wonderful dining experience.

you don't have to. you can put your jam any side you want it on.
that's what makes america great.

Well, you don't actually have to. I guess you can put it on whichever side you want to. It would make it a bit neater, and easier to eat if they were both on the same side. But, hey, whatever floats your boat is fine by me.

Just like down at the BK, have it your way. You may be on to something. Stay on this.

there is no law that say you have to

that sounds really gross!
butter and jam! eww

By putting the butter and jam on the same side of the toast, you keep from losing it on the plate and you keep from getting it all over your fingers when you hold your toast. I don't know about you, but when I hold my toast, I have 3 fingers on the underside of the toast to hold it steady while it heads for that cavern called a mouth.
