Former vegitarians ?!
Answers: are there any former vegetarians here , i don't mean for like a few months either . i refer to ones who practiced their belief for a considerable amount of time then gave it up ? my question is : what made you decide to stop ? IDIOTS plz do not reply .
I was a vegetarian for nearly 10 years.
When I moved in with the man who is now my husband I got sick of having to cook two meals every night. He convinced me to try a hamburger and now I eat meat with him. I do try to eat less red meat, but he is a true meat and potatoes man.
I got very sick from lack of protein. even the supplements didn't help.
I had a friend who was a vegetarian for most of her life, during her pregnancy she craved red meat. She eventually just gave in thinking it was best for the baby. But after nursing she went back and is a vegetarian again.
Damn, you'll never know how much I wanted to answer that one, only to be eliminated from contributing, by your "IDIOTS plz do not reply" clause.
Oh wait, I'm not one of the "IDIOTS", I enjoy meat.
yes, i was a vegetarian for nearly 12 years. i found out in october that i am diabetic, and the doctors wanted me to be on a high protein/high fiber diet. so needless to say, i started eating meat again -- slowly but surely. there are still certain meats that i will not touch, but it is getting easier....
I was a vegetarian for a couple of years when I was younger. I did it because my boyfriend was a vegetarian and it seemed like a good idea at the time. A few months after we split up I decided to start eating meat again, but it was christmas and my step-mother had prepared an 'alternative' christmas dinner for me. Had the best turkey sandwich EVER when I got home from the pub that night!
I was really sick, I weighed less than 6 stone and my parents said enough is enough, I had to eat what I was given and that included meat, simple as that, they thought I was anorexic and had to monitor my eating for about 2 years. I wasn't anorexic, I just couldn't be bothered to eat, I found food and eating boring.
