How do you cut a whole pineapple?!

Question: I usually use a large serrated knife, like a bread knife.

1. Lie the pineapple on its side and slice off the top/green leafy parts, making sure you actually cut into the very top of the pineapple, discard.
2. Turn the pineapple upright, and slice directly down the middle, halving it.
3. Cut each half into a quarter, then into eighths - leaving you with eight wedges of pineapple with the skin still on.
4. Lay a piece of pineapple wedge on its side (with the skin facing the board/surface) and slide your knife between the flesh and skin whilst cutting. This will remove the skin. Repeat with the other wedges and cut out any blemishes with a small utility knife.
5. Cut the skinless wedges into chunks.

With a sharp knife.

Cut down all the sides..then you can slice it .The way you buy it in the can...

Cut off the top and bottom. Cut down the middle. be sure to cut out the core. peel the outside and cut into pieces.

Cut the top and bottom off, so you have a flat, stable cylindar. Run your knife down the sides, removing the rough skin. Once all the skin is removed, slice the fruit in half length-wise, and then again, into quarters. Now slice down the edge along the core to remove it. You can eat it, but it's not very sweet or juicy). Slice into chunks.

Good Luck

Take a long sharp knife,
lay the pineapples on its side cut off the top with the leaves on it first and then the end piece.
Upright and slice downward about 1/4 inch exposing all the yellow fruit; then turn it on its side again and cut the remaining into slices like you would for bread.
Keep lots of papertowels around there will be a lot of juice!

i use a can opener, I don't have time to do all of that cutting, besides, im dangerous with a knife. lol
