How do I poach smoked haddock in milk? how long do I cook it for?!

Question: simmer it in a pan of milk for about 5 minutes only.
you will know it's cooked when the flesh turns from being raw looking to /opaque white

  • pre heat an oven to medium
put the fish into a dish and pour in enough milk to just cover the fish put lid on put in the oven for about 10 to 15 mins
    it should be great

put the haddock in a frying pan with milk half way and cook for about 5 mins

As above, but when the fish is cooked, take it out and transfer it to your (warmed) plate. Then take some cornflour (or plain flour if that's all you have) and over a low heat stir this and some seasoning and parsley (dried is OK but fresh is better) until the sauce thickens. Use half a teaspoon of flour at first, then more if needed. Then pour it over your fish and da-na! You feel like Jamie Oliver, only without the turkey twizzlers.

My top tip is do it in a covered dish in Micro wave for approx 3 mins less smell that way

Put your fish in a pan with milk salt & pepper;bring gently to a simmer, & then turn off & leave to poach itself in the hot milk for about 5-6 mins.
