I made my tomatoe sauce to salty, how can i fix it?!

Add brown sugar to it, tasting as you go. Put some slices of raw potatoe in it too but remeber to take them out before you serve it and dont cook it with the potatoes in it! :)

The only way to fix it is to make another small batch without salt and mix them together. Use unsalted tomatoes in the second batch.

You can add a little sugar anytime you salt something to much, just start slow and add a little at a time until it tastes like you prefer it too.

All you need to do is peel and cut a large potato in half and add it to your sauce. It will absorb the extra salt! This also works for soups and stews.

How did it become salty? I never add salt to mine.
But, I suppose I would try a tiny bit of sugar or Equal until you like the way it tastes.

Toss in a potato, cut in quarters. It will absorb the excess salt. Just wash it, cut it in quarters. No peeling necessary.

Techincally you cant. adiing any other flavour just makes it worse. Anybody who as answered add more unsalted sauce is right.

Acid. crono121 is wrong! The best way to fix something salty is to add something acidic. The best chef I ever worked with taught me to add a drop or two of balsamic vinegar. You could also try red wine vinegar, sherry vinegar, maybe a couple drops of lemon juice, etc. Making an unsalted version and adding it to your salty sauce is just gonna leave you with a large amount of sauce, probably more than you know what to do with.
